My name is Sol van der Ven and I am fourteen years old. My parents both come from different backgrounds, giving me the gift of having family all around the world. My mother's family resides in the province of Buenos Aires, in a small agricultural and beach town, called Necochea.  

Although the city is very small with a population of ~89,000 people, many families live in poverty. 

In these small communities the orphanages and poverty issues are not as recognized and addressed with sufficient funding. 

Especially 2020 has been a year full of challenges with most Argentineans being forced to stay home and thus often not being able to generate income for the family. I believe the kids of those families deserve a little smile on their face at Christmas time.

There are 42 families and 110 children in need, that we hope to bring smiles to this Christmas. You can help by making a generous donation that will go towards purchasing basic necessities for these families and orphans. If you are unable to donate, please share this website to help spread awareness.  

My family, friends, and I hope to raise enough money to provide these families with Christmas baskets/meals. My family and I will travel to Argentina this Christmas and personally purchase food items and goodies for the families in need with the money from the fundraiser.
